“Do you bicycle?” I asked the person checking me out at the grocery store this week.

“No” he answered.

Then he quickly explained that he had a bike but got doored and had not bought another bicycle...

He was busy so I quickly said there was a 100% solution for avoiding door crashes - Lane Position - and handed him my card.

Perhaps he will be back bicycling again soon, or maybe he’s had enough. But...I wonder how many people are attracted to bicycling by the shiny new bike lane and the promise of safety and comfort in “Your Own Space” shattered with a crash. I know so many others.
